Calgary | Dryland Training (Sept-Nov)
We are stoked to run our General Fitness program out of The Compound YYC. Our facility offers a private studio and weight room and in combination with the Calgary Climbing Center, getting in shape for snowboarding proves to be one of our most popular programs. Circuit training, indoor rock climbing, snowboard addiction training boards, MAXair super tramp will all be a part of getting in shape for the 2018/19 snowboard season. We also have an indoor skateboard park so if you skate, bring your board and helmet! Dryland programs focus on general fitness, core strength, flexibility, development and strengthening of snowboard specific muscle groups, agility and endurance. Athletes wanting to become serious competitors need to be fit and ready for the start of the season. Dryland training reduces the risk of injury while making snowboarding easier and safer, enabling athletes to reach their performance goals.
For all athletes in our Competitive program participation in Dryland Training is mandatory.
