Lil’ Sisters

Designed for girls ages 4 to 12 years old that are comfortable on their snowboard. This program promotes fun and progression in all aspects of snowboarding within a supportive girl’s only environment. The program is tailored to female specific training while remaining consistent with the club’s focus of learning within a relaxed atmosphere. The focus of this program is all freestyle disciplines on a rotating basis to maximize individual potential and all around snowboard skills. Our all-female coaching staff expects a positive attitude and personal motivation to achieve basic snowboard skills. This program is dedicated to encouraging and fostering the progression and potential of great snowboarders as well as helping to grow confident young women.

Lil’ Bros

Designed for Lil’ Bros ages 4 to 11 years old that are comfortable on their snowboard. This program promotes fun and progression in all aspects of snowboarding in a mini-sized environment. The program is tailored to specific training while remaining consistent with the club’s focus of learning within a relaxed club atmosphere. We focus on all freestyle disciplines on a rotating basis to maximize individual potential and all around snowboard skills.

Freestyle Basic

Designed for the proficient male or female snowboarder age 13-17(we split into groups based on age and skill level once on snow). This fun based, affordable program is a great introduction for riders to develop and progress freestyle snowboard skills. Coaches emphasize fun and fundamentals. We focus on the introduction and skill advancement in halfpipe, slopestyle, rails and boarder cross all while learning within a relaxed club atmosphere. The optional pre-season trampoline program compliments this program and is an awesome way to get in shape and meet some of the coaches and others riders before the “on snow” training begins.

Freestyle Advanced *New*

Designed for the proficient snowboarder ages 13-17 (we split into groups based on age and skill level once on snow). This program will introduce the rider to more advanced snowboard training and provide encouragement to develop and progress freestyle snowboard skills. Riders registering for this program should already have a strong foundation on their board and should feel comfortable hitting ride-on boxes and rails, straight airing small jumps (5-10 feet) and basic grabs.

This program is designed for two types of riders-

A rider looking to take their snowboard skills to the next level and maybe one day enter a competition or move into our Competitive Programs.

or

A rider that has no interest in competing but wants a higher level of coaching and has a strong work ethic to progress their riding.

Riders in this program are strongly encouraged to participate in the “off snow” General Fitness and the Trampoline Aerial Awareness sessions.

Competitive Grom Girls

Coach recommendation and approval is required for this program.

Designed for the somewhat competitive girl snowboarder aged 8 to 12 years old who is looking to compete while maintaining a fun, relaxed training environment. This program will allow girls to progress their freestyle snowboard skills with a mix of girls only and co-ed sessions to optimize progression. This program will encourage girls to not only progress their own snowboard skills but to support each other throughout the season to maintain a progressive team mentality. This program offers the opportunity for 4 Friday mountain camps to promote the importance of a well-rounded snowboard skill set that can help girls tackle challenges both on and off the hill. Coaches expect girls to be motivated with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to individual and team progression.

Full GROM dryland package is mandatory and is in addition to the on-snow program cost.

  • Pre-season orientation for parents and athletes to discuss the season’s contests (date TBA)

Coaches expect girls to be motivated with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to individual and team progression. Riders can expect to compete in 1-3 competitions throughout the winter (coaching at events included). Full Dryland package is mandatory.

Pushing for the Podium (must contact Head Coach to register)

PFTP is designed for the dedicated athlete that attends a Sports School or that has the flexibility to train during the day. PFTP is for the avid freestyle competitive snowboarder desiring the most “on snow” and cross training time possible. This high performance, year-round training program prepares athletes for the Alberta series, Canadian Nationals, Pro Circuit series and includes many “off snow” services as well as consistent access to our top coaches.

“On Snow” 3-4 training sessions per week including but not limited to:

  • Mid-November to mid-March
  • Purchase of a FIS License
  • Night/Day before competition training (if applicable)
  • ASA Alberta Series events (entry fee not included)
  • FIS/TTR events (entry fee not included)
  • Freeride Mountain Camps
  • National Championship (if applicable – depending on rider’s goals)
  • Early Winter/Spring camp coaching/chaperone (Western Canadian Mountains)

  • We will be building each PFTP athlete their own YTP (Yearly Training Plan). This is basically your whole year on one excel sheet to help stagger your training appropriately. Rest and Recovery is important and knowing when to train hard and when to lay off the gas is critical when training at such high volumes.
